One-Year Craft of Horary Astrology Diploma
General information
This one-year diploma is taught online via zoom as outlined below. The details of this world class course will be supplied to each prospective student along with an enrollment form.
- Currently the price for the 2025 course is 22000 ZAR for South African students or 2000USD for international students.
- This course will be offered again in July 2025. The price may change for the 2026 course.
- A completed enrollment form and payment of must reach Sky Guide Academy of Professional Astrology to confirm enrollment.

Each lesson in the course has:
- a two-hour zoom online lesson
- comprehensive notes and a compulsory assignment which must be submitted timeously
- marked assignments are emailed to the student
- The two-hour lessons are uploaded to Karen James Sky Guide You Tube channel for viewing by students for at least for one year.
- Notes and assignments are sent to the student via email after each lesson.
- Assignments are carefully marked and returned to the student before the next lesson.
- Model answers to each assignment are also sent via email to the students once all students have submitted their assignment.
Horary Course Outline
This is an entry level course, suited to beginner astrologers as it will provide a world class foundation for further studies such as the Intermediate level One Year Diploma in Natal Astrology. The main outcome is that a graduate of this course will be a world-class Horary Astrologer, capable of tackling the most challenging questions for the highest good of their clients.

Horary Course Outline continued
The last few modules are extra magic that can be worked with horary charts and revision.
This is followed by one final Horary Judgement Project which must be submitted and conform to the highest standards. The outcome of the Horary Judgement Project needs to be shortly after submission of project to allow the accuracy of your judgement to be verified. Several attempts are possible – terms and conditions apply to additional attempts. The Diploma in Craft of Horary Astrology will be issued once the student succeeds in this project.

Course information
- This is an intermediate level course and requires the student to have a basic knowledge of luminaries, planets, signs, houses and aspects.
- If you are a beginner, the world class Craft of Horary Astrology Diploma would be the perfect place to start your studies and give you entry to this course.
- This course is will be taught online via zoom.
- Solar Fire software is recommended for this course and the student will shown how to set up reports and charts.
- Comprehensive electronic notes in PDF format will be provided with each lesson. No textbook is required.
- A Certificate will be issued on successful completion of:
- the Seasonal Forecast that you will be preparing throughout the course
- a successful One Day Weather Prediction,
- a successful submission of a Weather Forecast for the next Season at your location
- a write up of a famous weather event from the past
- a test of your course content knowledge

Practical Work:
- Keeping a Weather Diary for your local area
- Creating a Seasonal Forecast for your local area
- Using your Weather Diary to judge the accuracy of your forecasts.
- At the end of the course, you will hand in your Seasonal Forecast and your Weather Diary in electronic format.
- Preparing a one day forecast for outdoor event such as Wedding in the future in your local area. You will then take a photograph on the day at the time you elected and send through to show that you have correctly forecasted the good weather window.
- You will also be writing a publishable article on an iconic weather event that has already happened. This will also be handed in.

Rectification (Time Rectification) is determining accurate birth time

As Astrology is all about space and time impregnated with meaning, it is vital to have your exact time of birth. From this time the future events in your life can be measured.
To work out your time of birth, the Astrologer uses the public events that have already occurred in your life, and with this information going back in time in the chart will give us your time of birth.
It is almost impossible to rectify the birth chart of a very young person or one who has lived a sheltered life with very few dramatic or unusual events. That being said if there have been deaths, marriages, separations from loved ones, accidents, illness, moves, careers and changes in life patterns it is possible to solve the problem of a birth with an inaccurate birth time, or in some cases no birth time.
The Astrologer will be able to make that distinction and advise if it is possible to do a rectification or not.
If this is not possible there are other methods that can be used in Astrology to get the answers you are seeking.
