The overall aim of Sky Guide Academy of Professional Astrology is to provide excellence in astrological education assuring a love and enjoyment of learning by the students.
The four cornerstones of the Academy are:

Three Year Integrative Astrology Diploma

This three-year diploma is taught in modules as outlined below. Modules will vary in length and price. Some modules will have more lessons, others will have fewer lessons. The details of each module will be supplied to each prospective student along with an enrolment form.
- Currently a 4-lesson module is priced at R1500 for South African residents, 200 USD or 200 EURO for international students.
- A completed enrolment form and payment of each module must reach the bank account of Sky Guide Academy of Professional Astrology before commencement of the module.
Each lesson in the module has:
- notes and one worked example which are emailed to the student
- a one hour Zoom lesson with slides
- a one-hour question and answer session after the Zoom lesson.
- The one-hour lessons are uploaded to Karen James Sky Guide You Tube channel for viewing by students for at least for one year.
- The one-hour Q&A Sessions are made available for download by students.
- Assignments are given for each lesson of each module via email to the student.
- At the end of each module, there will be a module exam which will require at least 50% to pass and at least 75% to obtain distinction
First Year: The 12 Pillars of Integrative Astrology
Ideally for a new student with no previous studies, the 12 Pillars provide a solid foundation from which to grow further as an astrologer.

- Pillar 2 – Sky Bodies (Planets, Asteroids, Planetoids
- Pillar 3 – Zodiacs (Tropical, Sidereal, Southern Tropical for Southern Hemisphere Weather)
- Pillar 4 – Signs (Aries through Pisces)
- Pillar 5 – Symbolism
- Pillar 6 – House Systems
- Pillar 7 – Calculated Points (North Node, South Node, Black Moon Lillith, Lots aka Parts)
- Pillar 8 – Declination
- Pillar 9 – Dignities
- Pillar 10 – Aspects
- Pillar 11 – Star Dynamics
- Pillar 12 – Manual Chart Calculation
Second Year: Practitioner Excellence
This year provides you with all the skills you need to be a successful practising astrologer
MODULES:
- Module 1 – Counselling Techniques
- Module 2 - Assignment Methodology
- Module 3 – Prediction Techniques
- Module 4 – Synastry aka Relationship Astrology
- Module 5 – Astrolocality
- Module 6 – Horary Astrology
- Module 7 – Elections
- Module 8 – Temperament with a small amount of Medical Astrology which can be used by students who don’t have medical training.
- Module 9 – Basic Rectification Techniques
Third Year: Next Level Brilliance
The final year of the Diploma focuses on your taking your astrological practice to next level brilliance.
MODULES:
- Module 1 – One year dissertation on an iconic historical person with an AA Rodden Rating including a relationship which can be explored, using every technique you have on this. This could ultimately become a PDF which you could publish.
- Module 2 – Weather Astrology – an Intro to Mundane Astrology
- Module 3 – Socio-Political Mundane Astrology
- Module 4 – More advanced Rectification Techniques
- Module 5 – Tarot – useful adjunct and confirmation of your astrology reading
- Module 6 – Numerology – useful adjunct and confirmation of your astrology readings
- Module 7 – Hand Reading – 5 Element chirology: Your Personal Blueprint Workbook – useful adjunct to your astrology readings
- Module 8 – Basic Life Coaching – useful adjunct to your practice
- Module 9 – Marketing your practice
- Podcasts – at least one or two podcasts posted online during the Third Year
- Writing Sun and Moon sign astrology for social media, magazines, newspapers – including online publication of two or three of these articles
- Writing interesting articles on Weather Astrology, Mundane Astrology or Natal Astrology – including publishing online of one or two blogs
- Videos – at least one suitable YouTube Video or three TikTok videos to be posted online
- Creating your own monthly newsletters for your clients
- Obtaining your own Practitioner web page on the COSAPA website https://www.cosapa.org.za/practitioners/
- Setting up your own website (optional)
12 Lesson Weather Astrology

Course information
- This course is taken at your own convenience with 12 self-paced one hour pre-recorded lessons. Solar Fire software is recommended for this course and a one hour Zoom session is offered as part of the course on how to set up reports and charts.
- Comprehensive electronic notes in PDF format will be provided with each lesson. No textbook is required.
- A Certificate will be issued on successful completion of:
- the Seasonal Forecast that you will be preparing throughout the course
- a successful One Day Weather Prediction,
- a write up of a famous weather event from the past
- a test of your course content knowledge

- Lesson 5: One Day Forecasting for Special Events including Weddings
- Lesson 6: Weather Astrology Pleasant, Rainy Venus
- Lesson 7: Weather Astrology of Turbulent Mars including Fires and Droughts
- Lesson 8: Weather Astrology of Good Outdoor Weather Jupiter including Sunspots
- Lesson 9: Weather Astrology of Stormy Saturn including Storm Tracking
- Lesson 10: Weather Astrology of Extreme Uranus including Earthquakes
- Lesson 11: Weather Astrology of Freaky Neptune
- Lesson 12: Weather Astrology of Destructive Pluto
Practical Work:
As we work through the lessons, you will be:
- Keeping a Weather Diary for your local area
- Creating a Seasonal Forecast for your local area
- Using your Weather Diary to judge the accuracy of your forecasts.
- At the end of the course, you will hand in your Seasonal Forecast and your Weather Diary in electronic format.
- Preparing a one day forecast for outdoor event such as Wedding in the future in your local area. You will then take a photograph on the day at the time you elected and send through to show that you have correctly forecasted the good weather window.
- You will also be writing a publishable article on an iconic weather event that has already happened. This will also be handed in.
Outcomes:
At the end of the Intensive, you will be able to:
- Provide Long Range Weather Predictions for each Season
- Provide One Day Forecasts for Weddings and other Special Events
- Keep a Weather Diary and verify the accuracy of your predictions
- Analyse Major Weather Events that have happened
- Track Storms and Predict Dire Weather Events
- Understand the role of each planet in Weather Astrology
- Understand Eclipses in relation to Weather
- Understand Declination in relation to the Weather
